![]() Three Auxiliary Division members were recently selected to receive NCOA Bettsy Ross Educational Scholarship Grants in the amount of $500 each: Nick Marigo of Santa Rosa, CA - attending Santa Rosa Junior College Jozlynn Reyes of Marion, IN - attending Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame Hannah Scott of Tualatin, OR - attending Portland Community College The Bettsy Ross Educational Fund was established in 1988 and is one more good reason for being a member of the NCOA Auxiliary. The Non Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA), a Military Service Organization (MSO), was created in 1960 to address quality of life issues for enlisted members of our Active, Reserve, National Guard, Retired, and Veteran members of all branches of the Armed Forces as well as their families. As we have evolved, education, work force development, employment, legislative advocacy and the quality of life within our communities as well as the physical and mental health of our enlisted service men and women and their families have become our primary aim. On Friday, 7 June, Grand Knight Sir Paul Siverson, Onslow County Commissioner Walter Scott, SgtMaj (Ret) Joe Houle, SSgt (Ret) Tom Mattison (Korean Vet), and HMC (Ret) Steve Ryan presented NCOA's World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War Medallions to Ms. Rosemarie Oates Mobley, the daughter of veteran Joseph Oates who served in all 3 wars.

Air Academy NCOA is honored to have the opportunity to recognize each of these brave service members and express gratitude to each for a job well done! Rogue Chapter Vice Chairman Ken Wilson and chapter member Pete Pringle presented Vietnam War Medallions to 6 Navy veterans, 5 Army veterans, 3 Marine veterans and 3 Air Force veterans at the Vietnam Wall in Washington, DC as part of Honor Flight of Oregon. They also presented Korean War Medallions to 1 Army veteran and 2 Air Force veterans at the Korean Memorial. Four other veterans on this Honor Flight were previously presented Vietnam War Medallions by the Rogue Chapter.
Members of the NCOA Space Coast Chapter at Florida's Patrick Space Force Base recently volunteered at the Vietnam and All Florida Veterans Reunion. Chapter members assisted folks in locating their loved ones' names on the Traveling Vietnam Wall. The Space Coast Chapter was recently named the 2023 Small Regional Chapter of the Year for the Southeastern Region.
