The NCOA Gateway Chapter in Port Richey, Florida, recently held a Memorial Day World War II Medallion presentation.  Five WWII veterans were honored.  The chapter had originally planned  to present medallions to 6 veterans  however one of the intended honorees, Edward McCarron, was hospitalized.  Mr. McCarron is a local celebrity. He fought in the Battle of Normandy where he lost his dog tags. During this past ceremony at Normandy, a woman found his dog tags and returned them to him in Hudson, FL.

Michael Cinimma, Veterans and Military Affairs Liaison from the office of the Honorable Gus M. Bilirakis, Member of Congress, presents medallion to PO1 Joseph Fogt.
