NCOA Headquarters is very excited that the Golden Nugget in support of our Convention and Tribute to our Vanguard has agreed to lower the room rate for our delegates and visitors to $39 per night Sunday to Thursday and to $79 for Friday and Saturday nights. If you have already made your room reservation the hotel will adjust your rate upon check-in. If you have yet to make your reservation you must do so NO LATER THAN June 21 to guarantee this special discount. In addition to lowering the rates, the Golden Nugget is providing each person who books a room with a coupon book valued at $250.

In addition, NCOA will extend the $150 Convention Registration fee until June 21!

"Your staff is working very hard to make this year not only a great event, but also one that is affordable. We are very proud of the Nugget sales team who responded positively to our request to lower the room rates for our delegates. I can never recall pricing this low for an NCOA Convention and encourage every member who can to attend."

Convention activities begin July 14 with the Opening Reception with a special "Beach Theme" and the band "Surf’s Up" performing. We are asking all delegates to dress accordingly and there will be a prize for the most outrageous Tropical Shirt!

Of course there is much work to be done throughout the week and we have some special speakers scheduled along with the Senior Enlisted Fo- rum on tap. The fnal event for the Convention is the President’s Breakfast July 17.
